What is Memorial Day?
Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday of May, honors the men and women who died while serving in the American military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. In 2014, Memorial Day is observed on Monday 26th, and every year on Memorial Day, there is a national moment of remembrance at 3:00pm local time.
For 2014, we continue with Carry The Load as an event beneficiary.

Although chip timing affords running events to produce quick fast timing results, it was never intended to be the benchmark for finish order. We feel that this is a foot race against other human beings and not against a computer system. The first one back across the finish line is the winner.
